about

Jen Foote singer songwriter is about to release her sophomore album, Rock Chapel Road! With great anticipation this album promises to be an eclectic mix of fun sounding traditional's and timeless sentiments. Her distinctive voice rises above her sometimes quirky lyrics showing the softer side of her heart. Jen's first and second album The Road It Goes and Rock Chapel Road are Produced by East Coast Canadian Instrumentalist J.P. Cormier, they are a wonderful collection of original folk, country and bluegrass songs. Her songs speak of the roads and choices we take in life, sad songs that lift you up, contagious rhymes that leave you wanting more. The Spill Magazine Review: Jen Foote simply knocks one out of the park with her debut release, The Road it Goes. With renowned Canadian producer J.P. Cormier at the helm, this album was destined for big things from the start. Foote’s deep seeded raw talent is apparent within seconds of spinning the first tune, “The Road it Goes.” She sings with conviction and doesn’t stray from the truth in her lyrics. Her humble and visceral voice speaks to you in an honest and passionate way that will leave you with goose bumps.

“The Road It Goes” is one of the best tunes on the album, already making a serious impact online and now charting on Reverb Nation. Next up we have “Sarah,” a song whose main instruments are acoustic guitar, grand piano and fiddle that come together as more comfort food for the ears. “Man of Song” is another gorgeous tune recorded with only string and voice that again showcase the impressive musicianship that goes into this album. Clearly Jen and J.P. have amazing chemistry in the studio – you can feel it.

For fans of honest down home Folk music who are unfamiliar with the name Jen Foote, I would suggest picking up The Road It Goes right away.
